The Need for Emergency Tents Will Continue Through 2022

Emergency tents will continue to be an important factor of disaster preparedness through the new year. Here’s how to protect yourself and your business.

Emergencies happen every day for many different reasons. For example, with the changes in our weather, natural disasters seem to come with greater force and magnitude these days. Massive changes within our global supply chain, causing businesses of all sorts to have a drastic ebb and flow with their inventory. And, we can’t deny that the coronavirus is still a very real situation locally and throughout the world.

Emergency tents help in all of these situations – and in many different ways. While we’d love to plan for 2022 to be full of joy and void of emergencies, it just doesn’t work that way. So, we do the next best thing – be prepared for emergencies as they arise. And, you do that with emergency tents.

Natural Disasters and Emergency Tents

Other than hurricanes, most natural disasters happen in the blink of an eye. Though, whether you are prepared or not, we are no match for Mother Nature’s fury. When these situations arise, the lives of those impacted change in an instant. Floods, fires, tornadoes – people can so quickly lose everything they have.

The angels that offer disaster relief almost always come prepared with emergency tents. The reason is due to their versatility. Disaster relief tents can be used for the storage of donated goods as well as for a temporary medic station. Yet, these tents can also be used as temporary housing, command centers, and search and rescue sites.

Versatility isn’t the only trait that makes these tents the go-to option for disaster relief. When one of these emergencies arises, those who are impacted need help right away. Therefore, relief workers need a solution that will get them up and operating as quickly as possible. And tents can make that happen.

It’s safe to say that as long as natural disasters exist, there is bound to be a need for emergency tents.

The Still-Present Global Pandemic

If you asked nearly anyone back in 2020 if we would still be wearing masks, quarantining, and having everyday conversations about COVID-19, no would likely be the most frequent answer. Truth is, most of us never thought we would still be here – in a pandemic – in 2022. Yet, here we are – new year, new variants, and new CDC requirements.

One thing that has remained constant throughout this entire pandemic is the strain that has been placed on our healthcare system. Hospitals throughout the country – and the world – are overflowing with sick patients testing positive for the virus. They are taken from one area of the hospital in order to make room for more beds and more sick patients. Even then, they are running out of room.

It is not just hospitals, either. Private practices, urgent care centers, health departments, etc. are all feeling the weight of the coronavirus on their supplies, space, employees, and more. The fact that these systems have not broken over the last two years just goes to show you how strong our healthcare workers are.

Many communities and hospitals have created makeshift hospitals out of medical tents. They are using them to treat covid-19 patients while keeping them out of the hospital. Others are taking these tents and moving into areas that are seeing a surge in cases and are in dire need of medical care or where the local hospitals are too strained.

You may have even noticed that many local medical facilities, counties, health departments, and so forth have been setting up tents as part of their organized system to test and vaccinate those in the community for the virus. They have been set up for both walk-through or drive-through testing and vaccination sites.

Over the last two years, businesses of all types have turned to clear span tents as a way to expand their space and adhere to the CDC’s recommendations to keep employees and customers safe. That’s right – these tents are versatile to meet all of these needs.

Why have emergency tents been so helpful during the pandemic?

  • They can be constructed fast – and anywhere you need them.
  • They can be customized to meet the current need – and adjusted when those needs change.
  • They offer lighting, flooring, ventilation, climate control, and more.

Supply Chain Woes

While the supply chain issues may not seem like too big of an emergency compared to the other two, it is making a huge impact on the way our businesses run. Getting items where they are needed has been a struggle, with some areas seeing a lot of empty shelves while others get hit with a surplus of certain goods and not enough of others.

Some retailers and warehouses are finding that extra space is needed to make room for surges. And, clearspan tents are proving to be an effective solution for supply chain disruptions. They can be customized to offer just the right amount of storage as well as an ample amount of space to design the right layout for efficiency. They also offer security and safety to protect these goods. Having the option for things like flooring and doors can make life a bit easier, too. For instance, you can have a warehouse door place right where it is most convenient.

The best part? The tent can be constructed wherever you need it to be – even right next to the current facility or in an area that is most convenient for distribution.

The Need for Emergency Tents

Emergencies will always arise whether we expect them or we don’t. When we are prepared, it makes the emergency a little less detrimental in some tiny way. We can’t know what the future holds, but we can take steps to make them a little more doable.

Emergency tents are the ultimate solution. With the ability to be erected on any ground (without even requiring guy lines), in the perfect size, with the doors, lighting, flooring, and climate control just how you need it, you can rest easy knowing that whatever emergency arises, you will be ready to offer help where it is needed.

It all starts with an emergency temporary tent structure.
