All you need is a tent rental

If you’re hosting Thanksgiving this year, all you need to enjoy the festivities outside is a tent. You may be thinking – a tent rental?! Yes – a tent rental! Believe it or not, you can rent a tent to host your Thanksgiving outdoors and enjoy all the comforts of being indoors – and then some! • Tents come in all assorted sizes, so you will be able to find the exact fit for your Thanksgiving shindig.
  • Tents can come equipped with side walls that protect against outdoor elements. In other words, it can keep cool drafts at bay.
  • Tents have climate control abilities. You can keep your guests warm or cool, just as you would in your home. Therefore, it doesn’t matter what the outside temperature is!
  • Tents also can come with flooring, so the cold ground doesn’t have to be right under your feet.

There is no need to worry about your weather during the Thanksgiving holiday. When hosting Thanksgiving, renting a tent structure will keep your guests warm and cozy while enjoying the backdrop of the outdoors.

The more the merrier

Nobody ever wants anyone to go through Thanksgiving alone. After all, a common theme of the holiday is finding gratitude and sharing amongst our friends, family, and even strangers. Sometimes, however, our space limits us to the number of guests we can invite.

By hosting Thanksgiving festivities outdoors, you are opening space to invite so much more people! You can advise guests to bring those they know that don’t have anywhere to spend the holiday. The more the merrier! Just make sure you have enough food to around!

Eat however you want

While turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, and pumpkin pie are some of the traditional items for Thanksgiving, you can eat however you want. Think about it – you have already taken a step away from tradition by taking your guests outdoors for the feast! Why not eat however you want?

You can choose to have a potluck, asking your guests to each bring a dish. Or, perhaps you’d prefer buffet style, allowing guests to get however much or little they want and when they want it. Or, of course, you can always opt for table service and hire a crew to serve your guests a pre-plated meal. You can even skip the normal Thanksgiving feast and go for something completely different!

There are many options to choose from so choose the one that matches the feel of your hosted Thanksgiving.

Decorate for a harvest fest

Tents provide a large, wide-open space for your Thanksgiving event. That means you have the ability to decorate it in any manner you wish. There are no pre-existing walls, poles, or rooms to work around. It’s a blank canvas for you to turn into a beautiful, golden harvest fest.

Spread about brightly colored decorations in hues of yellows, oranges, reds, and golds. Light some candles to bring about a warm feel. And, don’t forget the pumpkins and other gourds that are so common this time of year.

Really, this is your Thanksgiving and there is no rule book on how to decorate or what it should look like. The point is you want to have a memorable time with those important to you. Whatever that looks like to you, that is how you should decorate.

And, party ‘til the turkey gobbles!

Last, but certainly not least, when hosting Thanksgiving, you will want to have some entertainment for your guests. It doesn’t have to be anything fancy or formal. You could play some tunes, have TVs broadcasting the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade or football games, or gather up your friends and host your own football game – since your hosting Thanksgiving Day outdoors!

Eat, chat, play games, take pictures, relax, and eat again. Even if you don’t plan any formal entertainment, your guests will find something to do – especially with the change of scenery.

Thanksgiving is a time for counting your blessings and enjoying the company of loved ones. Changing it up by hosting Thanksgiving outside will only add to the day. Gather up your friends and family, decide how you are going to host your Thanksgiving, and make it happen!
