I am often asked by prospective clients of American Pavilion how to determine the best tent/event rental company for their event. Event rentals (tents, portable air-conditioning, flooring, etc.) is a multi-billion dollar industry and there is no shortage of companies vying for your business. Some of the same questions that you would ask for any major purchase can be asked when choosing an event rental company.
1. How long have they been in business?
2. Are they large enough to stock the rental tent and related equipment you need?
3. Are they so large that your event may not be a priority for their company?
4. Are you dealing with the owner or a salesperson?
5. What experience do they have with events similar to yours?
With a little homework and common sense you can determine pretty quickly which tent rental companies are up to the task and which ones might not be around after they collect your deposit check.
